Skillnet Ireland is Ireland’s leading talent and workforce development agency and is funded by the Government of Ireland. Our mandate is to advance the competitiveness, productivity, and innovation of Irish businesses through enterprise-led talent and workforce development.

For over 20 years, Skillnet Ireland has successfully partnered with businesses and individuals to understand and deliver the skills and learning businesses really need. We’re experts at designing high impact talent development programmes, including: Leadership development and business mentoring, Specialist upskilling and reskilling, Workforce design, Innovation roadmaps and skills pathways, Digitalisation and Sustainability Transformation programmes, and Research on the future of work and talent & skills requirements.

We believe that businesses know their own needs best. To support companies in developing the talent they need, we partner closely with industry bodies and businesses. Together, through our joint-investment model between government and enterprise, we invest around €70m per year in talent development to support over 20,000 companies and 80,000 people.

Core to our partnership model is our 70+ Skillnet Business Networks. Each a cluster of companies from the same sector or region, these Networks take a collective approach to developing talent and skills – identifying needs and developing customised supports to meet the specific demands of their businesses.

Through this agile industry led approach, we focus on skills challenges that impact every business throughout Ireland. Addressing areas of major significance such as climate action, digital transformation, SME innovation and leadership, our national programmes deliver targeted responses and give companies, especially SMEs, access to effective and affordable skills solutions.
