About
The Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a public law institution established in 1992 in order to represent and support Slovak companies and other members domestically and abroad. The members of the chambers are mainly companies in all industrial sectors but also educational and training institutions, non-profit organisations, and regional and national bodies.
Among its primary services belong consultation services on legislation and foreign trade, participation in drafting legislation and measures related to entrepreneurship in Slovakia, support internationalisation of companies and their access to foreign markets, organisation of business missions and brokerage events and dual education in Slovakia. The chamber is also active in supporting innovation in companies and creating innovation environment in Slovakia and providing educational and training activities. There are 8 regional chambers in Slovakia with one chamber in every Slovak region and its Headquarters in Bratislava. The chamber is a member of EUROCHAMBRES and the International Chamber of Commerce.
Since its establishment, the chamber has been involved in many EU-funded projects mainly in the areas of SME´s internationalisation, development of innovative services for companies and international cooperation, and educational activities. The chamber is a partner organisation of the Enterprise Europe Network.
The main role of the chamber in the EAGLE project as representative organisation of businesses is to analyse the needs of the companies in Slovakia in the area of digital skills and through the courses developed within the project to contribute to the digital transformation of businesses in Slovakia.
